City Clerk

Responsibilities


The City Clerk's Office is responsible for many of the day-to-day functions of the City of Cohoes. The City Clerk's Office is the official recording and corresponding secretary of the Common Council and the Board of Managers. Other services also includes the issuing of licenses for:
  • Bingo
  • Birth
  • Death
  • Dog
  • Games of chance and raffle
  • Hunting and fishing
  • Marriage
Genealogy services are also available in the City Clerk's Office.

Other Responsibilities of the office include:
  • Freedom of Information requests
  • Issue various licenses and permits
  • Official Records Assess Manager
  • Preparation of Common Council and Board of Managers Meeting Minutes
